Cedar Hot Sauce

In 2020, Jacob Hetsler founded Cedar Hot Sauce, a local and Indigenous hot sauce brand. For years, he soaked in Montreal's fine cuisine, learning from some of the top chefs in Canada — indigenously known as Turtle Island. Now he's in Vancouver, creating his own concoctions, mixing unique pepper varieties with local crops from small producers. His Anishinabek-Owned Award Winning Hot Sauces draw inspiration from coast to coast. In 2025, he won the Spiciest Sauce award at the Vancouver Hot Sauce Festival.
